Editorial Policy

The International Journal of Excellence in Tourism, Hospitality and Catering is published 2 times a year by HBMSU, Dubai . The journal solicits and welcomes scholarly articles, case studies, practitioners' viewpoints and book reviews of interest to academics, practitioners, government policymakers, media organisations and multilateral organisations across the entire range of excellence in tourism, hospitality and catering.

Submissions to the journal must reflect sound theoretical foundation and have implications for strategy. Articles can be conceptual, theoretical and empirical. Collaborative articles and case studies prepared by scholars and practitioners are encouraged.

Editorial Objectives

The over-arching editorial objectives of the International Journal of Excellence in Tourism, Hospitality and Catering include the following:

  • Enhancing excellence in research in the domains of tourism, hospitality and catering;
  • Facilitating the exchange of cutting-edge ideas among academics, policymakers and practitioners;
  • Providing a forum for generating problem-solving strategies through scientific research, and disseminating useful knowledge electronically throughout the world.

Responsibilities of the Editorial Board

The Editorial board of the journal is expected to ensure high quality of materials to be published, safeguarding the interest of the journal. All members of the Editorial board will be expected to assist in soliciting submissions and promoting the journal and contribute to viewpoints and special issues of the journal. Upon receipt of papers, they will be responsible to evaluate and review them in a timely and thoroughly manner, and provide extensive and constructive reviews and/or feedbacks, in regards to provide the authors proper guidelines and direction.
